The Artwalk was a great success, earning over $1000 for heartworm treatment. I am so glad to have donated my art and helped out with this awesome event to raise money, celebrate local art, increase awareness, and adopt out some great dogs! (To see more of my art, check

Animal Services says:

Come and enjoy local artwork and adopt an artist at Alachua County Animal Services TBD!

Our main featured artists of the show are the art students at Irby Elementary! Their beautiful portraits of our adoptable animals will be on display throughout the lobby of our building, and prints of their work will be available with the adoption of an animal or for a donation.

Outside, we will have over a dozen community artists displaying and selling their work. There will be a special art fundraiser table to raise money for our Heart 2 Heart program which funds the treatment of our heart-worm positive dogs and other animals with special medical needs. You can enter the raffle to win over a dozen great prizes donated by our fine artists and local businesses!

And of course, leading up to the event, our very own resident canine and feline artists will be showing off their artistic skills by creating paintings with their paws and tails! If you adopt an artist, you will also get their painting to take home!

We are happily accepting donations of art supplies for our resident dogs and cats to create some art. Non-toxic paints and canvases can be dropped off anytime at Alachua County Animal Services during our open hours. We really appreciate it!

At this time, applications for artists for this event have been closed. Thank you for your interest!
